The dead will live again in this Thursday’s all-new episode of The Vampire Diaries, and we’ve got a sneak peek at all the action.
The CW has released five new photos from “The Walking Dead,” and though they don’t reveal very much (or anything at all, really, other than the fact that Katherine has a really cute leather blazer), but they do hint at some serious drama coming to Mystic Falls. Per the official episode description:
As Graduation Day approaches, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to distract Elena (Nina Dobrev) by focusing on simple tasks like sending out announcements, but Elena won’t be swayed from her new obsession. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) calls Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) to the hospital, where someone has been attacking patients. Still trying to force Katherine to help her, Bonnie (Kat Graham) refuses to give up on her plan to defeat Silas. As a violent wind storm causes a power outage in Mystic Falls, ghosts suddenly appear – some with good intentions and some bent on revenge.

“I read it in junior high school and it made sense to me. It was representative of the roaring twenties. Baz handed me a first edition copy, and as an adult, it takes on a different meaning. It’s really an existential novel,” Leo said about re-visiting the book before accepting the role.
“I was reluctant…what’s so powerful about this novel is everyone has their own interpretation of these characters,” Leo added about maybe not taking the leading role.
That’s the tagline on the new Vampire Diaries Season 4 finale poster, which hints at the epic ghost influx heading to Mystic Falls when Bonnie finally drops the veil between the land of the living and the Other Side.
A second finale poster features Bonnie and Katherine, who entered into a devil’s bargain during the last episode when Bonnie promised to give Kat the secret of immortal invulnerability if the vamp helped her retrieve Silas’ tombstone.
Per the official finale description, May 16’s “Graduation” features a Mystic Falls that is “overrun with ghosts intent on settling old scores and fulfilling their supernatural destinies.” Meanwhile, Matt and Rebekah join forces to battle a ghost determined to find the cure, Elena makes a decision about the Salvatore brothers and faces an epic confrontation with Katherine, and Stefan discovers a horrifying clue to the mystery surrounding Silas.
